Setting Your Priorities In Order

Time stands still for no one. It’s important that we use our time wisely, to accomplish the tasks, duties and fulfill our dreams and visions before the sands of time run out!

The spirit of procrastination will kill any vision or dream, because we allow the enemy to steal time from us that is not promised tomorrow. We put off what should be done today, and make excuses that it will done later.  Slothfulness is a stumbling-block that needs to be torn down so that we can completely fulfill our duties, assignments and obligations.  (Romans 12:11)  “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;” every morning I start my day with Early Morning Glory Prayer at 7:00 a.m.* I know that when I pray at the beginning of the day, it has a powerful influence on the decisions I make throughout the day.  It also has an impact on how I handle my daily affairs and business, and I have a more positive attitude rather than being easily frustrated and irritable.   So a first priority should be to begin your day with Prayer.

Next, you should have a Daily Devotional time right after prayer or soon thereafter! Immerse yourself in the Word of God, listen to inspirational and religious programs** that teach, exhort and expound the Holy Scriptures to feed your spirit and soul.  Blessed is he that hungers and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

God gives us visions when we are awake, dreams when we sleep.  Too many Christians are still dreaming, now it’s time to wake up and be about the Father’s Business.  Prepare and equip yourselves for the harvest of souls that are ready to be set free and delivered that are not in our churches and ministries.  WAKE UP! (Romans 13:11)  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

(Ephesians 5:14)  Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. ( 5:15)  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (5:16)  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. As Christians we need to pay careful attention to the current events and activities that surround us daily, things that we normally close our eyes, ignore or just act like it doesn’t exist.  It’s because of this, that most believers are slothful in business; poor stewards over financial affairs, and in debt going down the road towards poverty!  We shouldn’t wait until something drastic occurs before accessing the need to get better organized and set our priorities in order so we can be successful in this life.

Webster’s Dictionary defines Priorities as: fact or condition of being prior; precedence in time, order, importance, etc.

a) a right to precedence over others in obtaining, buying, or doing something

b) an order granting this, as in an emergency, something to be given prior attention

How do we set our priorities?  In accordance to the Word of the Lord. (Proverbs 3:5)  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  (3:6)  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (3:7)  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Ask yourself these questions and then when you get the answer or solution begin to practice daily the principles that will help you to put your life, business and ministry in order.

1.) Where do I begin at setting my priority?

2.) What should be my top priority in life?
