A TIME FOR REFRESHING
The water we drink is good for quenching our thirst, and it may also be used to replenish or put back fluids that have been used or drained from the body. However water that we use to bathe with, is for cleansing the body, refreshing the skin and when it’s warm, it can help soothe the mind. Mineral water has been known to have various healing qualities that are good for the physical, mental and emotional parts of our being.
Some people don’t recognize the importance of having a weekly Sabbath, regardless of the day chosen. The Sabbath is set aside for rest, the physical body from labor and work, to ease the mind from stress and bring quietness to our thoughts so we can have better clarity, and be able to hear and listen to the inner spirit that dwells within us, so we have guidance and direction. We must have a time of peace from those thoughts that keep us over-whelmed, distraught, frustrated and anxious. In order to do this we must bring our bodies under subjection and humble ourselves to the will of God Almighty. The Sabbath is intended to be a time of reflection for our spirit and soul.
There should be a time set aside for Worship, to give adoration and show our gratitude to the Creator who has given us life, talents, gifts and abilities to flourish so that we can prosper and have good success even as our soul prospers. (Leviticus 23:3) Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. The purpose of the Sabbath is to rest in the Lord, mind, body and spirit, it is a time for refreshing.
