Being Grateful, Feeling Thankful on Resurrection Sunday

For the first time in my life that I can remember, I will not be able to attend worship service on Resurrection Sunday, nor will I be preaching from a platform the wonderful message that Jesus Christ is Messiah the risen Savior of the world.  When I awoke this morning, these things almost overwhelmed me! I am a devout Christian and minister of the gospel, and today is when we celebrate with people all over the world that Jesus is Lord, a physical affliction, that invaded my body has restricted me from any strenuous activity, I was diagnose with the early stages of pneumonia in my lungs two days ago.

This morning when I rose the Holy Spirit reminded me that even though I may be confined, I still am blessed, I wasn’t admitted to the hospital but was sent home after receiving the antibiotics and inhaler to help me breathe and clear the congestion within my lungs.  Today I can spend time surrounded by my own personal belongings, rest and recover my health and strength that is my personal covenant through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, by whose stripes I am healed!  I will still be able to enjoy a home cooked meal and embrace the love of family who are nearby.

In reflection, sometimes things may happen to us that alter or change our plans and it may not always be agreeable with you, but the Word of God tells us “in all things give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you.”  Regardless of what trauma, afflictions, sickness or illness you may be experiencing, I want to remind you that Jesus paid it all on Calvary, and I have personally accepted His gift of salvation and healing and I believe and I shall receive total restoration and a full recovery and even more because I have FAITH in God’s Word, it will not fail, nor will it return unto Him void, His Word shall accomplish that it which it is sent to do!

My platform today is social media, and my message is being written not spoken, and it will reach many more souls than the ones that I could have verbally preached from a pulpit.  For this I am grateful, that I still have the ability to share the goodness of God, His enduring Mercy and saving Grace.  To let others know that whatever tests, trials or tribulations that we may be going through, there is power in the name of Jesus and through His death and resurrection it can break every chain, destroy every yoke and pull down any strong holds in our lives, all we have to do is BELIEVE!

So let’s celebrate this day, because we are no longer in the clutches of sin, we have been set free from the oppression of the enemy, for all power has been given unto Him including life and death is in His hands.  Cast your cares upon Him for He cares for You, He gave His life for You, and He arose for You that You might have Life and that more abundantly.  Have a blessed Resurrection Day!
