My Arsenal Against the Corona Virus
An old proverb, “cleanliness is next to godliness!” I’m going to share some tips on how and what to do to fight the Corona virus. When we are done, reading, praying and trusting in God’s Word, let’s get busy cleaning and go to war against dirt, dust, grime, germs, and bacteria in our surroundings!
Here are some products to fight against germs and bacteria! Clorox Bleach, Hand Sanitizer or Alcohol pads, Hand wipes, spray disinfectants, Murphy’s Oil Soap for wood, Spic and Span, Mop and Glo, hand soap with antibacterial, Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, vinegar and water, ammonia, and be smart stock up on these products when they’re on sale, don’t wait for a crisis to happen!
1. Wipe down with disinfectant or multi-surface cleaner electronic devices when they are off!
Computers, tablets, cell phones printers, monitors are electronic and technical equipment including ear plugs, and headsets, that we handle with our hands and even put near our face! Many times they are “touched” by multiple hands at work, school, at home, and while traveling. But we forget to sanitize these things and they are susceptible to germs and bacteria once they are touched.
It’s best to buy and use antibacterial hand soap, in the bathroom and kitchen area, some hand soaps have fragrances and moistures but are ineffective when fighting germs and bacteria. Refrain from using bar soaps when you have other individuals at home who may use the same bar of soap! Toothbrushes should have a cover rather than being left open for dust and germs to settle upon.
Use Ajax, Comet or a similar product to clean and sanitize surfaces especially hardcore dirt and grime. Make sure the bathtub gets cleaned after each person bathes or takes a shower!
Avoid public showers, bathing facilities and pools when you are sick with any type of cold or virus, it can spread on the surfaces where you walk or touch and many places don’t clean their pool or shower area daily!
Wearing a mask isn’t going to help much, if you’re coughing and the germs are going right back into your system! It is to prevent others from getting the germs or viruses that have infected your body, stay home and quarantine yourself, if you are sick!
Take time to vacuum before you start deep cleaning surfaces! When you vacuum all the dust doesn’t settle in the machine! It can travel within the atmosphere to lie upon other surfaces, clothing or even people.
Take area rugs outside away from the house door, patio or porch. Once you start shaking or beating out the dust it can travel right next door, or even back into the house since the windows and doors to the patio are open, not to mention your clothing!
2. Medical and Health Issues:
Be sure to check with your Primary Care Physician if you have any physical issues relating to the symptoms of cold, flu, which could develop into pneumonia and weaken your immune system to any type of bacteria viruses. Those who have environmental allergies such as sinus infections, bronchitis, asthma, or respiratory issues need to make sure that you have your medications available, and there products such as the Vicks Steam Inhaler, Vicks Mists when used with the pads or liquids helps open up your nasal and lungs passages so you can breathe and rest easier.
While many people are buying home supplies such as toilet tissue, we forget the Kleenex and facial tissue to wipe our noses! Don’t cough or sneeze into your hands, better to turn your head and do it into the inner part of your arm and then be sure to wash your clothing at night, because those germs can spread once you take them off and lay them down!
(Deuteronomy 30:14) But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. (Old Testament)
(Romans 10:8) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; (10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(Psalm 91:5) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; (91:6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. (91:7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. (91:8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. (91:9) Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; (91:10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
